From the Beginning- Day 1
Today marks the first day that my husband and I are starting a new lifestyle change. We are doing South Beach diet, paired with, Power 90. We are both 23-years-old and completely out of shape. I used to be 120 pounds(oh how I miss those days!) when I met my husband in our junior year of highschool and now (after 4 years of dating and almost 3 years of marriage) I am 204.8. I am ashamed to say that I have gained all of this weight by completely letting go and giving into ever food desire I had. My current weight is the heaviest I have ever been, which is not an accomplishment, and I am determined to never have this weight or higher on my scale ever again! I look forward to the day when I can proudly say that I am in shape and healthier than I have ever been before! This journey into a renewed me is going to a rollercoaster, I am sure, but every ride has an end and I am determined for mine to be an amazing one!!Today, my alarm went off at 6:15 am and after hitting snooze till 6:30 am, I got up feeling energized and ready to go! We popped the Power 90 dvd into our xbox and got the show on the road. I was able to do everything, but a part that is called 7-7-7 push ups. 7 wide push ups, 7 close push ups, and 7 normal push ups... oh boy! I got 4 into the first set and I wiped out! I am acutally glad that it was hard for me because it gives me something to strive for and push to accomplish. All in all, a good first days workout. After that, I had to get ready for work(which doesn't even feel like work since I am blessed to do what I love as a job, which is being a nanny). Breakfast was yummy! Eggs with zuccinni and onions mixed in, YUM! Snack time was about 11 am and I had a part skim mozzerella cheese stick. Around 1:30pm, It was lunch time. I had a yummy mixed greens salad with sliced mushrooms,onions, and a little fat free shredded cheddar cheese, then topped with a balsamic vinagrette!!! Soo good! The sweet tooth is starting to set in now but my sugar free hard candy(allowed in south beach diet-phase one) is hitting the spot! Crossing my fingers that the rest of today goes just as smoothly!
